Our tour proposal:
1st day, Catania
Independent arrival at the hotel in the charming city of Catania (optional private transfer on request). Meet our tour leader; dinner and overnight at the hotel.
2nd day Syracuse, Noto
After breakfast at the hotel we will visit Syracuse, the most beautiful and largest Greek colony in Sicily and a World Heritage Site! The visit will begin with the Archaeological Park of Neapolis, with its Greek Theater, the Roman Amphitheater, the Latomie del Paradiso and the Ear of Dionysius. You will continue visiting the splendid Ortigia, a small island which is the historic center of Syracuse. In Ortigia you will admire the beautiful Cathedral which dominates the square with its authoritative presence. From Piazza Duomo you reach a large terrace on the seafront that surrounds the famous Fonte Aretusa, one of the most famous freshwater springs in the Greek world.
Second part of the day
Departure for Noto, the capital of Sicilian Baroque, famous for its fine buildings from the early eighteenth century and declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Inspired by the Baroque ideals of an open city, Noto is a rare masterpiece and the most striking example of theatrical taste in eighteenth-century architecture. Notos Baroque is, in fact, a game of elegant curves, floral weaves, perspective views of palaces and gardens, capitals and friezes that decorate the facades of churches and monasteries. We will visit Palazzo Nicolaci, a beautiful noble residence in Baroque style. Return to Catania for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

3rd day Ragusa, Modica, Piazza Armerina
Visit of Ragusa Ibla and its historic center, cradle of Sicilian Baroque. Used as the location of the very popular TV series Il commissario Montalbano, it is now included among the 44 Italian World Heritage Sites. Visit of the four oldest main gardens of Ragusa. Continue towards Modica, a treasure chest of innumerable Baroque architectural treasures and for this reason declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Walking through the narrow streets of this charming little town, you will stop to visit Sabadì, one of the most renowned chocolate producers whose chocolate has been awarded the best of Modica for the last 9 years! Therefore, you will be able to enjoy a multi-sensory chocolate tasting to discover the authentic Sicilian scents…
Second part of the day
The day continues in the suggestive Piazza Armerina to visit the famous Villa Romana del Casale, a Unesco World Heritage Site, to admire the splendid polychrome mosaics! Episodes and scenes of hunting and entertainment: you will like it! In the afternoon departure for Agrigento. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
4th day Agrigento, Marsala, Palermo
The tour continues in Agrigento visiting the famous Valley of the Temples declared a World Heritage Site. It was defined by Pindar as “the most beautiful city of mortals”. Among
hundreds of almond trees you will admire the remains of ancient Akragas. You will see the “Temple of Hera”, the “Temple of Concordia” and the “Temple of Heracles”. Continuing, visit the charming and renowned town of Marsala, where Garibaldi landed in May 1860. Marsala is a modern Mediterranean city, divided between sea and land, with unforgettable colors: the visit begins in front of the majestic “giant vats”, built at the end from the 19th century and still used for the refinement of Marsala wine. After a half-hour journey through the barrel vaults, you will reach the avant-garde tasting rooms called Donna Franca and Duca Enrico. You will enjoy a delicious light lunch and a memorable wine tasting experience!
Second part of the day
The tour continues by visiting the famous Via del Sale: here the salt marshes gave birth to one of the oldest salt extraction industries in the world! Between Trapani and Marsala, the Via del Sale is today protected for its interesting birdlife, and also as an important industrial archaeological site. In the afternoon transfer to Palermo, hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight stay.

5th day Palermo, Monreale
After breakfast at the hotel, the morning will be dedicated to visiting Monreale, its immense Norman Cathedral, proclaimed the Eighth Wonder of the World, and its splendid Cloister in Arab-Norman style: an admirable masterpiece of art, sculpture and stone inlay hard! Later we will discover the splendid Palermo, one of the richest cities on the island for its history and art. While the Baroque predominates, there is a profusion of different architectural styles that reflect the city’s multicultural past: Punic walls, Art Nouveau villas, noble residences, 17th-century squares, including an elegant opera house. We will visit the marvelous Arab-Norman Cathedral, the astonishing Church of the Martorana and the astonishing Palatine Chapel, an admirable example from a historical and artistic point of view, of how apparently incompatible cultures, religions and ways of thinking can coexist.
Second part of the day
During the day of the visit we will stop for a gastronomic surprise in the famous Antica Focacceria San Francesco. Free time for lunch. Continuing our walk we will admire the Teatro Massimo and the controversial fountain of Piazza Pretoria, located in the ancient Kalsa area and decorated with sixteenth-century sculptures. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
6th day Palermo, Departure
After a buffet breakfast, private transfer to Palermo airport. End of the tour and time to say goodbye Sicily. Possibility to extend your stay in Sicily with additional nights.
